Common questions

What does Gemynd do?
Gemynd closes the missing-document loop. We request, capture, verify, and cryptographically sign the paperwork that stalls a case — for funeral homes, copier dealers, and treatment compliance providers.
What does “Gemynd” mean?
It’s Old English for memory or remembrance. Pronounced “juh-mynd.”
Is Gemynd a funeral home software company?
No. Death care is the vertical where the missing-document problem costs the most, so it’s our current focus — but the same engine serves the copier channel and treatment compliance.
Does FlowVault replace our case management system?
No. FlowVault runs alongside the system you already use and confirms nothing is missing from the case. There’s a working Passare integration.
How is Story Scribe different from an AI obituary writer?
Inverted. AI obituary writers generate plausible prose. Story Scribe refuses to write anything it can’t trace to a specific family-provided source, and shows the family which source every sentence came from.
What are Content Credentials?
C2PA Content Credentials are cryptographic proof of where a file came from and whether it’s been altered since — the same standard the camera and news industries adopted for photographs. Gemynd applies them at the moment of capture rather than after the fact.
What is the TWAIN Working Group?
The standards body governing scanner and MFP interoperability. Dan Western is an active member and co-authored the RWU billing standard through it.
Who is Gemynd for?
Funeral home owners and directors; copier and MFP dealer principals and service managers; program directors at treatment and compliance providers.
